Jim is a Retired Principal Director of New Business Development and Strategic Planning at Draper Laboratory, where he was responsible for formulating and implementing the Laboratory's strategic plans, directing its internal research and development program, and launching new business ventures. Currently Jim is a Venture Manager at Navigator Technology Ventures, an early stage fund established by Draper to address the unique needs of technology start-ups. Jim earned his BS degree in Physics from the University of Pittsburgh.
